With a Little Help From My Friends

I get by with a little help from my friends.  Today that help comes in the form of accessories.  Chenille gave me this necklace, and Kristin gave me the earrings.

Dress, thrifted; sweater, Victoria's Secret; leggings, Walmart; shoes, Target; earrings, gifted (thanks, Kristin!); necklace, gifted (thanks, Chenille!).

I think of this as my beer festival necklace.  I wore it to one, and everyone thought it was made out of pretzels.

Sack of Frilly

Let me start by welcoming my special guest, Wonton.  Gadget photo bombs me pretty frequently, but it is rare that Wonton gives a damn about what I'm doing graces me with her ancient and saintly presence.

Now, the outfit.  This frilly dress was another item in the big sack of clothes I bought at the rummage sale last weekend.

Sweater, Younkers; dress, rummage sale; shoes, Target; earrings, Walmart; glasses, Costco.

Check back for more exciting bag clothes!

Un-Ladylike

This outfit is a refreshing change from ladylike.  You may think I'm mistaken.  After all, the tunic/dress thing I'm wearing is all white and lacy.  My shoes have polka dots and little bows.  My sweater has rhinestones, but rhinestones don't make the lady.  Ladylike is a matter of behavior, and the pants/top combo means that I don't have to think about how I bend or sit or otherwise behave.  I don't have to be ladylike.

Sweater, Younkers; dress/tunic thing, rummage sale; pants, Walmart; shoes, Walmart; earrings, Walmart; glasses, Costco.

I wear so many things that require care, it's refreshing to be careless.  Once I'm refreshed, I can go back to fabulous as usual.
I love clothing that is purchased by the bag, and this top was part of a big bag of clothes I found at a rummage sale last weekend.  Check back for more of me being a bag lady.

All Business

It's semi-rare for me to really dress for business.  This is about as close as I usually get without a special reason.  Consider this business in shades of purple.

Dress, Younkers; belt, thrifted; shoes, Rack Room Shoes; earrings, etsy; glasses, firmoo.com.

These glasses remind me of my very first pair.  I got them when I was in second grade, and they were pink and plastic.  I liked them until the first time I wore them to school.  Twenty-three years later, I'm not going to let others' opinions harsh my glasses buzz.

Does your wardrobe include purple t-strap pumps?  Obviously you're closet is lacking.

Photographic Proof

I usually think of this blog as a way to document what works in my style as well as what doesn't.  Today, however, the purpose is to show that yes, I really did touch Bianca del Rio.
